Back from Florida

Well we made it back safe and sound. We had a great time in Florida visiting with family and relaxing in the sun. Tyler loved all the water, especially Grandma's pool. It was his first time in the ocean and he did very well. He didn't like the salt water too much, but loved finding sea shells and playing in the sand.

We caught two lobsters, well I probably shouldn't say we. My dad and Jessica caught them, but I helped too. I snorkeld over them holding a light above so they could see. It was a little scary at first to get in the water at night, but then once we started seeing the lobster it got exciting. I of course got sea sick, and it wasn't even that rough out. I'm getting old!

We also got a 5 generation picture! Tyler met his Great Great Grandma Rabey for the first time. She is in her late 90's and we were so glad that she got to see Tyler. She is doing so well for being older, still walking and is as sharp as a tack! It was so much fun to visit with her.

So here are some pictures from the trip! Tyler and I are off again on Wednesday to go to Michigan for 2 weeks! Tyler's first plane ride!

August 31st

On August 31st we will be HOMEOWNERS!!!! YEA!!! We are so excited. We found a nice tri-level house in a good neighborhood and for the right price. We can't wait. It has a nice yard for Tyler and is fenced in for the dogs. And the best thing is that I will have my very own SCRAP room!!! WoooHooo! Mike has told me to start looking at pictures online so I can get some ideas on how to make it the best scrapbook room. Isn't he awesome! I thought so.

On another note, thanks to somebody special we got a new power cord for the laptop today! So I will be able to be online more and will be sure to update regularly.

Tyler is up for his nap and yelling for me to get him up so one quick scrapbook page to show you and then I'm off!

ScrapPages

Well I did a few more scrapbook pages yesterday. Tyler napped for over 4 hours so I got a lot done. I think he's growing!!

I used a Pencil Lines sketch for this one.

I did this one for the NoelMignon Challenge. The challenge was to use the number 3 in a layout.

All these are for a book about our vacation to Florida. It was a couple years ago that we went but just getting around to scrapping them now. It has been fun to use some pink papers, since I can't with Ty's pages.

Typical Thursday

Well today was just a typical Thursday. Went to the gym this morning so Tyler could play (and I could work out too). He really likes going he gets all excited when we get ready to go in the morning and he says, "Paa, Paa" (that means play in Ty language), and lately he has just been walking to the play area all by himself and not even looking back to say bye. Too cute. He has 4 teeth coming in so it's been a struggle for me lately. The past 2 or 3 days have been better though. And tonight I told him to be gentle with a toy after he threw it and after a little tantrum he just turned around to me and said, "yes," and was more gentle with it. I was SHOCKED and had to keep a straight face and say, "good boy." We are trying to teach him to say yes mam or sir, and I guess he is starting to get it. After just saying to Mike a couple days ago that it's hard to keep up on the discipline it is nice to see that Tyler is starting to get it.

And YES it is a ONE PAGER. I have stepped out of the box and started to do some one page layouts. I have been liking it though, I can get a page done a lot faster. Who knows maybe I will try some 8.5 x 11 pages soon.

Here is a altered journal I made. I cut out pictures in magazines and put them in here for scrapbook inspiration. I got the idea here.

Well that's about all going on here. I am getting excited to go to Florida in about a week. Tyler and I are going with my dad to my Grandma's. Jessica and Calvin live in the same city so we will be visiting with them a lot too. Tyler will get to meet his Great, Great Grandmother for the first time! It will be mini lobster season so we will be boating and diving. I can't wait. I guess I need to think about what to pack!!

Okay, I'll update!

I admit it! I've been a bad blogger. Shame on me. Our laptop is out of commission for a little bit till I can order a new cord so I haven't been on the computer much.

We had a wonderful 4th of July!! Mike's parents and brother came to visit for almost a week. And they brought their boat. We had lots of fun and Tyler enjoyed seeing his grandparents and uncle (which is a new word for him now). I haven't downloaded the pictures yet but I will put up a slide show when I do.

I have finished Tyler's hospital scrapbook and I put them in the scrapbooking picture album to the right. I have been doing some more scrapbooking these past few days. I finally learned how to scan and stitch thanks to this article, so here are my latest creations. Of course they are all of Tyler.
